Identification Requirements

Proper identification of a document signer is the single most important thing that can be done to manage a document signing process efficiently. Screening the document signer's identity is critical in establishing the integrity of the notarial act. Our mobile notaries use a higher degree of care in determining a person's identity than in performing any notary duties. It is important that a signer brings proper identification for the document that must be notarized.

The following are acceptable forms of identification:

• Current U.S. Driver's License

• U.S. or Foreign Passport

• U.S Non-Driver ID

• U.S. Military ID

If the signer is without 1 of these IDs, 1 or 2 credible witnesses may be used.
